Position outputs:
RECRUITMENT:
- provide line managers with advise and support pertaining to the acquisition of staff within the boundaries of the relevant policies, practices and procedure
- Compile a shortlist of potential candidates together with the line manager
- Conduct interviews & complete the necessary administration after interviews
- Prepare offers for prospective employees • Conduct induction for every new employee
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT: - Identify training requirement on both an individual and organizational basis by advising line managers. HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION;
- Perform the day to day Human Resources administration of Transnet Port Terminal policy and procedure inclusive of leave management, EAP and Payroll Administration
- Attend to queries and follow-up with the line managers
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: - Provide line management with advise and support pertaining to the performance and assessment of their staff • Collate and follow up on the timeous submission of managers management reviews
- Monitor and implement effective performance management systems for Transnet Port Terminal employees
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS: - Provide the different managers with advice and information regarding the implementation of employee relations practices and procedure
- Monitor engagement forums between line management and employees
- Facilitate disciplinary processes by appointing presiding officers
- Facilitate and record lodged grievances ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
- Support line management in the management and coordination of climate surveys
- Support line management in the development and execution on organizational strucutures Qualifications & Experience:
A Degree in Human Resources or relevant NQF level 7 qualification
