You will need the following to complete your funding application.<br><br><strong>Ensure that you have your own<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Valid email address and cellphone number (Note that your cellphone number must be UNIQUE to you and cannot be shared with another applicant).<\/li><li>Valid South African ID<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>You will also need the following to complete your NSFAS application:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Copy of your ID or birth certificate<br>\u2022 ID copies of parents, guardian or spouse<br>\u2022 Your proof of income or 1 year\u2019s IRP5 (if applicable)<br>\u2022 Your parents, guardian or spouse\u2019s proof of income (if applicable)<br>\u2022 If you are a\u00a0<strong>SASSA<\/strong>\u00a0grant recipient, no proof of income will be required<br>\u2022 Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form,<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nsfas.org.za\/content\/downloads\/NSFAS%20Disability%20Annexure%20A_2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>\u00a0Click here to download<\/strong><\/a><br>\u2022 An applicant who is recognised as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration Form,<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nsfas.org.za\/content\/downloads\/Vulnerable%20Child%20Declaration%20&amp;%20Consent%20Form%20(Updated%2031%20July%202020).pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>\u00a0click here to download<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You do not have to submit a separate Consent Form&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/strong><br><br><strong>Other documents required, if applicable:<\/strong><br>\u2022 Retrenchment letter<br>\u2022 Death certificate\/s<br>\u2022 Divorce decree<br><br><strong>Certified documents are not a requirement due to COVID-19 restrictions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to apply:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications are open <br><a href=\"https:\/\/my.nsfas.org.za\/Application\/selfservice.jsp#account2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to create your myNSFAS account and to Apply<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you are approved for NSFAS funding, the bursary will pay for your registration and tuition fees, and provide you with an allowance for food, learning material, personal care as well as traveling or accommodation allowance where necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Applications for the NSFAS funding of the 2021 academic year are now open.
