{"id":3710,"date":"2023-02-03T08:50:47","date_gmt":"2023-02-03T08:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.test.gideongeneration.org\/?p=3710"},"modified":"2023-02-03T08:50:48","modified_gmt":"2023-02-03T08:50:48","slug":"firefighter-learnership-programme-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.test.gideongeneration.org\/?p=3710","title":{"rendered":"Firefighter Learnership Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ref: SS 60\/18 Ext<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A National Senior Certificate (NSC: Schools) or National Senior Certificate (NSC: FET Colleges) or National Certificate (Vocational) 4 with Mathematics as a passed subject<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be between the ages of 18 to 35 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must not suffer from Acrophobia and Claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces or heights)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medically and physically fit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work in a team and cope with stressful situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No criminal record and must be drug free<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A valid Code B (08) driver \u2019 s licence is preferable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Currently unemployed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Currently not participating in a learnership programme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must not be involved in any other studies from 1 February 2019 to 31 July 2020<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Key Performance Areas<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates will be required to successfully complete the required training for Fire Fighters, namely: Occupational Certificate: Fire Fighter (Curriculum Code 5411010001, NQF Level: 4 Credits: 148, Learnership Number 14Q140040001494).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates need to pass a physical and written assessment comprising of the following:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reach test (1,9M)2.4 km run (11min for male and 13 minutes for female participants)Push ups (30 in 1 minute)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Situps (30 in 1 minute)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dead load carries (2 x 25kg over a distance of 100m)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acrophobia test (successfully climb 3 stories and return to ground level on a ladder supported against a wall)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Claustrophobia test (successfully complete the confined space circuit unassisted)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates must also pass a written assessment (Mathematics with a pass mark of 50%) and (Comprehension with a pass mark of 70%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates must also pass a behavioural assessment and medical evaluation prior to appointmentSpecial conditions applicable to the post:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Non permanent contract position<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Required to wear a uniform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants need to be able to complete all functions of the fire fighter post<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How To Apply<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be considered for these positions and participate in the assessments, applicants must follow the instructions as detailed below:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>REPORT TO:<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>53 Berkley Road, Ndabeni (old abattoirs premises) by no later than 08h00.
