{"id":3906,"date":"2023-06-30T11:23:50","date_gmt":"2023-06-30T11:23:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.test.gideongeneration.org\/?p=3906"},"modified":"2023-06-30T11:23:51","modified_gmt":"2023-06-30T11:23:51","slug":"accountant-senior-bookkeeper-accountant-johannesburg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.test.gideongeneration.org\/?p=3906","title":{"rendered":"Accountant \/ Senior Bookkeeper: Accountant \u2013 Johannesburg"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My client is based in Sandton and is currently recruiting for an Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper that can report to their Financial Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will be responsible\/overlooking different aspects including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Book, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Trial Balance and Month End.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Qualification and Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BCom Accounting degree\/diploma<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 3 years\u2019 experience as an accountant \/ senior bookkeeper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Experience Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accounts Payable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure proper documentations are received from new vendors to be loaded<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop all AP department staff members and provide supervision<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand the impact of AP with regards to the Cash Flow \u2013 Should be able to collate information needed to complete the whole process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Should know how to capture supplier invoices and know what a valid tax invoice entail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accounts Receivable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand how to generate a manual invoice and automated invoice on the accounting system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Should be able to recharge or bill inter-companies\/subsidiaries when necessary \u2013 Need to understand the concept<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cash Book:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Capturing of all transactions off the bank statement daily<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allocation of all Supplier payments and Debtors receipts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparation of all Bank Reconciliation daily<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fixed Asset:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be familiar with IAS 16 and know how to always apply it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create asset numbers and tag every fixed asset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calculate Depreciation of All Assets and check for reasonability and completeness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Payroll:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understanding of the accounting impact of Payroll clearing account, accruals and provisions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of the difference between deductions and contribution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of the independent payroll system (VIP) that is used to reconcile with the GL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trial Balance and Month End:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be able to understand and implement the full finance function up until the TB<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be able to inspect expenses and ensure that they are valid, and the cost is accurately recorded<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Should be able to pull and read every report from the accounting system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Should be able to review and understand the Income Statement \/ Balance Sheet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly balance Sheet Reconciliation is a requirement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of SARS VAT regulations and should be able to prepare a VAT recon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.compujobs.co.za\/job\/accountant-senior-bookkeeper-2\/?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp;utm_medium=twitter#apply-dialog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.compujobs.co.za\/job\/accountant-senior-bookkeeper-2\/?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp;utm_medium=twitter#apply-dialog<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My client is based in Sandton and is currently recruiting for an Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper that can report to their Financial Manager.
