Retail Butcher Shop Manager (East Rand)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POSITION INFO:
A company in the meat processing industry is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced individual to manage its factory outlet shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job Description:The Shop Manager responsibilities will include the day-to-day operational management of the factory outlet shop, including selection, ordering, preparation, display, packaging and sale of meat to consumer and commercial customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duties:Supervising the day-to-day operations of the outlet shop
Supervising shop staff, set up work schedules and assign duties
Manage the Unipos Point of Sale system including software and hardware
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
Determining staffing requirements, oversee the hiring of staff
Management of Over Time and Leave Provisioning
Training new employees
Monitoring product inventories and trends in consumer buying to anticipate which products will be in demand
Ordering products as required
Deciding how merchandise should be displayed
Providing assistance when employees are unusually busy
Dealing with customer complaints and recommendations
Organizing staff safety programs and shop sanitation procedures
Monitoring food safety requirements for meat storage and handling
Understanding profit principles, retail pricing and analysis
Costings of products
Meeting with manufacturers\u2019 sales representatives to discuss product lines
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Minimum Grade 12, a Butchery Management qualification would be advantageous
Relevant skills and minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in meat\/food products in a retail\/supermarket environment (at least 2 years in managerial position)
Knowledge of meat cuts\/products and preparation techniques
Excellent knowledge of quality standards
Computer Literacy \u2013 Unipos knowledge essential, MS Office
Ability to use hand tools, stand or walk for extending periods, lift heavy items, and work in cold environments.
Driver\u201ds license and own car
Well-presented and professional
