The successful candidate will report to the Shift Supervisor Raise Drilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Job description<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Effectively supervise a team of general workers, perform the duties of a drilling operator and in the process achieve competency at this entry level role<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Successfully complete on the job practical work and theory at the M&amp;RC Training Academy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safely operate raise drilling machines under supervision<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow lock out procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete administrative tasks accurately and timeously<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand and comply with M&amp;RC\u2019s standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minimum requirements<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Raise Drilling Operator training program [Theory essential]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competency B<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good English written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least 2 years\u2019 experience as a Raise Drilling General Worker (Advantageous)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound knowledge of raise drilling operations and methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of a baseline risk assessment with ability to complete an issue based risk assessment independently [essential]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>All appointments will be done in line with our employment equity strategy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Disclaimer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Recruiter may amend, delete or expire jobs at any time without notification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Murray &amp; Roberts reserves the right not to proceed with filling the position.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An application will not in itself entitle the applicant to an interview.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you do not receive any feedback on your application within 4 weeks from the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you require help with the registration process?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Support team is here to assist.
