Full job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef\/Cook to join a discerning household in Durban. This full-time position involves catering to a family who values healthy, high-quality Halaal cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role requires a flexible individual, as it involves travel. The successful candidate will also assist with the family’s travel arrangements, booking international flights and accommodation, making experience as a seasoned traveler highly beneficial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are looking for a professional and discreet individual who is comfortable working within a private home environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plan and prepare daily Halaal Meals according to the household’s requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensure hygiene and kitchen\/home cleanliness at all times<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purchase halaal quality ingredients and manage kitchen supplies<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adapt to the family’s changing schedule and household preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Understand the client’s needs, provide accurate travel options, coordinate transportation and arrange an excellent travel experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the nature of the role, this would suit a female.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proven Experience as a Private Chef\/Cook in a private residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formal culinary training<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excellent Organization and Communication skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proven experience booking travel, creating and managing complex itineraries, travel trends, industry knowledge and handling changes and cancellations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
