This all-rounder course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage fire safety in any workplace environment. The course covers the fundamentals of fire, fire prevention strategies, practical fire fighting techniques, emergency response, and evacuation procedures. Participants will also receive specialized training to become Fire Marshals/Wardens, conduct emergency drills, and perform fire risk assessments. The program combines theory, practical exercises, and assessments to ensure comprehensive competency in fire safety and emergency management.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand how fires start, spread, and how to control them.
  2. Identify fire hazards and assess risks in the workplace.
  3. Implement effective fire prevention and control measures.
  4. Select and safely use appropriate fire-fighting equipment.
  5. Respond effectively to fire emergencies and perform safe evacuations.
  6. Lead and coordinate as a Fire Marshal/Warden during emergencies.
  7. Plan, facilitate, and evaluate emergency drills.
  8. Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments and develop corrective actions.
  9. Demonstrate practical fire fighting skills in controlled scenarios.
  10. Comply with South African OHS legislation and international safety standards
